As this is a community about addiction, I’d like to be more clear about what addictions mean. More specifically, what are the different categories of addiction? I see a lot of posts about addiction with alcohol and drugs here, and I wonder if abnormal sexual behavior (for example, repeatedly and compulsively cheating on your spouse or partner) also considered an addiction? Thanks!
There is such things as sex addiction it’s just as similar as alcoholism but I’ve found that usually with sex addiction there is an additional (I.e. my spouse cheated on me multiple times with the same chick from rehab and a few from Tinder but I caught him with rehab girl both had relapsed with alcohol at the time) addiction(s) such as alcohol. It doesnt excuse the behaviour but this is a major part of my spouses sex addiction sober he isnt even really interested in sex.
