I find it challenging to maintain self-esteem when my father violence shames me. I found that every time he talks to me that way, I tend to absorb his words even though I know that the abusive accusations only derive from whatever negative feelings he has and have nothing to do with how I am. Does anyone know any ways to effectively detach from such toxins? Any shares are appreciated!
