I'm a Recovering addict. Does this matter. Or not?

I have had a really hard time, lately. Every time I say it, can’t get worse. Well it does. I had Almost 15years clean, til last year. I was diagnosed with Cancer and other problems with family and life. So I relapsed. I’ll have 1 year, next month. I have only been in this community since then. Does this matter??!
My sister got out 2 days ago in Wisconsin. Not sure the charge. I heard she was looking at 30 years. I have always received support from the everyone in the community. I do enjoying service work.
