I’ve always wondered if my husband will be able to live a ‘normal’ life after addiction. I’m wondering, for those of you who see glimpses of recovery, and those who see loved ones through full recovery - what does it look like?
What does full 'recovery' from drug addiction look like?

I’m not sure that there’s such a thing as “RecoverED” - it’s more of a process. My husband has 6 years, 8 mos clean and sober as of now. It’s been SUCH a journey for both of us. As for a “normal” life - there’s no such thing as ‘normal’ in my opinion - but yes it’s possible to have, keep, and maintain a marriage through the recovery process. There will be bumps - all marriages have them! <3 keep working on you, and your marriage. It’s worth it! Even if for some reason the marriage doesn’t make it - YOU WILL. <3
