I have put up with so much mental abuse… It just keeps getting worse. I have put up with it for 33 years. Not letting me sleep because he wants to argue, shooting holes in the floor, putting the gun to his head and pulling the trigger, shooting my screen door out, shooting himself in the Leg, stabbing knives in the walls, trying to hang himself the other night from the ceiling fan… And why??? Why can I not leave? What is it going to take to make me walk out that door?
When do you know enough is enough?
Hi @Rhonda_Renee_Maynard - I am so sorry you’re in this situation. Please know that you are worthy of love. Is there someone nearby who you trust who you can turn to? A friend or family member you can stay with until things calm down? Any other support for your husband who you can ask to help him, as well? Your safety is important and you don’t have to do this alone.
